Frazer Theatre Comedy Club – November 2024

An act we have been hoping to book at the Frazer for years, it’s a genuine delight to bring the comedic powerhouse that is Nick Helm to our stage for the first time. The star of such shows as Uncle and Loaded, as well as guest slots on just about every comedy show you can think of, Nick is at his best in the live environment. Absolutely unstoppable and utterly unpredictable, Nick combines a performance style of barely contained rage with incredibly intelligent thoughtfulness. Truly an enigma and one of the funniest acts your comedy team has ever seen in person, Nick is a natural choice for such a massive event.

Does John really need an introduction? No stranger to the comedy club, John has been one of our most consistently appreciated and requested performers over the years. We are proud that not only did we create a little pocket of Robertson fandom in Knaresborough but that John has become a good friend in that time and when we were planning this show his name was always top of the list. We would tell you what he’s going to do on the night, but we don’t know and frankly neither does he! A comedian of pure chaos energy, we’re delighted John is joining our birthday celebration.

Lauren has been around for just a little longer than the club itself has, and in the past ten years we’ve been delighted to see her develop from a middle act at one of our very first shows to being one of the most sought after performers on the circuit today. In the last ten years Lauren has been nominated for best newcomer and best show at the Edinburgh Fringe, has appeared in such TV shows as Jerk and Climaxed, performed at comedy festivals around the world and has very recently had their very own Radio 4 series, Tom and Lauren are Going Oot! Always hilarious and infinitely watchable, Lauren is one of the very best.

One of our all time favourite MCs at the club, Carl was our first thought when we needed somebody to take control of this vast array of talent. An enormously talented performer and genuinely the nicest man in comedy, Carl has looked after several of our birthday shows before and knows how to get the party started right! We are overjoyed Carl can come to the Frazer once again to round out the evening’s entertainment.
